چکیده
Reduced available water resources have become the main limiting factor for production of leafy vegetable, such as pakchoi, which can be effectively addressed by growing water-efficient varieties. Therefore, it is particularly important evaluation and verification drought tolerant In this study, 50 different varieties pakchoi were detected their morphological physiological indicators under both normal-irrigated water-deficiency environments. Based on systematic analysis these using methods, significant identified prediction model was established followed validation The results showed that considerable differences observed in all conditions deprivation compared with normal irrigation. Frequency distribution revealed indictors sensitivity changes to water-deficient ordered follows: aboveground fresh dry weight, belowground root volume, length, activity, soluble sugar. Correlation each indicator significantly or extremely associated other indices, indicating there a certain degree association between indices. Principal component (PCA) turned 16 into four independent components, cumulative contribution ratio 80.147%. According tolerance comprehensive value (D-value) cluster analysis, ranked relation classified five categories, among them Jinhui, Qingguan, Dongyue, Xiazhijiao, Hanszifei, highly drought-tolerant cultivars. Moreover, stepwise regression demonstrated sugar, average diameter, leaf number selected key used screening identifying drought-pakchoi Furthermore, capacity further validated one representative variety from groups treated water-deficit stress. It verified consistent varieties, closely related increasing epidermal stomatal density, maintaining high photosynthesis, antioxidant enzyme activity reduce damage (ROS). proposed provide basis leaf-vegetable drought-tolerances, well could effective water-saving production.

Drought is a threaded factor in the world production and application of breeding methods could improve the tolerant and adapted cultivators under drought stress condition. In order to evaluate and determine the stress tolerance indices and identifion of tolerant genotypes to drought stress, 15 safflower genotypes were evaluated in a randomized complete block design with three replications in tw...
متن کاملIsolation and Functional Characterization of a Floral Repressor, BcMAF1, From Pak-choi (Brassica rapa ssp. Chinensis)
MADS-box genes form a large gene family in plants and are involved in multiple biological processes, such as flowering. However, the regulation mechanism of MADS-box genes in flowering remains unresolved, especially under short-term cold conditions. In the present study, we isolated BcMAF1, a Pak-choi (Brassica rapa ssp. Chinensis) MADS AFFECTING FLOWERING (MAF), as a floral repressor and funct...
متن کاملCytogenetic Diversity of Simple Sequences Repeats in Morphotypes of Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis
A significant fraction of the nuclear DNA of all eukaryotes is comprised of simple sequence repeats (SSRs). Although these sequences are widely used for studying genetic variation, linkage mapping and evolution, little attention had been paid to the chromosomal distribution and cytogenetic diversity of these sequences. In this paper, we report the distribution characterization of mono-, di-, an...
متن کاملEffect of Solid Biological Waste Compost on the Metabolite Profile of Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis
Large quantities of biological waste are generated at various steps within the food production chain and a great utilization potential for this solid biological waste exists apart from the current main usage for the feedstuff sector. It remains unclear how the usage of biological waste as compost modulates plant metabolites. We investigated the effect of biological waste of the processing of co...

Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis) is an economically and agriculturally significant vegetable crop and is extensively cultivated throughout the world. Heat stress disturbs cellular homeostasis and causes visible growth inhibition of shoots and roots, severe retardation in growth and development, and even death. However, there are few studies on the transcriptome profiling of heat s...
